Reaper Gunship (FR 3) by Quesocito Reaper Gunship (FR 3) by Quesocito
Reaper Gunship - Basically complete, not going to do more detail on it for now. Current weapon load-out configured for use primarily versus armoured targets. I'll eventually put up some renders of the multi-role weapon load-out.

Alright, I started it tonight, and actually stumbled upon a question/request: Do you happen to have this one in a higher resolution you could eMail me? Ive removed the background now (via Eraser tool, dont have knowledge to do it the smart way) and atm I think it would be easier and better to paint if the pic was bigger.
I removed the BG so I could lock transparency to paint it "the easy way" for a start, but I think doin it the hard way, like mostly just taking it as some sort of template and mainly use the shadows and lights as a reference for values while actually re-painting it,could be a major practice for getting a better feeling for perspective and how to paint it.
Oh and the bigger it is, the better I can add tiny little details to it (I love tiny little details), and apply things like rust and remains of engine smoke (I mean the stuff that comes from the exhausts dunno the right word atm), and little warning signs and so on and in my current state of skills I dont think Im ready to just go to CGTextures and paste something on, I wanna first learn to do all that by hand.
Well, give it a thought, if doesnt bother you too much I could really use it, but Ill continue with the current version anyway and thats already great of course.

Oh actaually,Id be happy with whatever you throw at me, I feel quite honored youre doin it at all; If you could render it at a width of 7200 pixels,I think it would be perfectly big enough for all I can imagine...
Man I really appreciate youre being so helpful. Im not quite sure yet about what I can achieve with my current skills, but this should really help me learn a lot.
Ill be ready to have a rather quick version ready as soon as I can so I can send it back to ya for a first impression.
I actually didnt think of anything fancy, this ship looks like it hunts similar prey to an Apache,so that was my starting point, too in the smaller version.Still,Id like to make it very light at the belly,it looks like its at home in bigger altitudes as well.
Ill send you my address per note.
Thank you in advance so much dude!
